Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using and sharing on ListReferrals.

How do I use a referral link?

Simply search for the brand you need, click 'Get Deal' on the referral post you like, and you will be taken directly to that brand's website with the discount applied.

Why should I use a referral link to sign up?

Using a referral link is a mutually beneficial 'win-win' situation. New users often receive a higher sign-up bonus than what is offered directly on the official website, and the person sharing the link receives a referral bonus as well.

Do I need an account to use a referral link?

No, you do not need to sign up to use links. All referral links are public and available for anyone to use. However, you will need to create an account if you wish to share your own links or request the addition of a new brand.

Do I need to be a certain age to use ListReferrals?

Yes — you must be at least 18 years old to create an account or share a referral link. We confirm this when you submit your first post. Browsing and using other members' referral links doesn't require an account or age verification at all.

Why do you ask for my date of birth, ZIP code, and gender?

We only collect this when you submit a referral post, and only to confirm you meet our 18+ age requirement. We don't use it for advertising or show it on your public profile. See our Privacy Policy for the full details on how this data is handled.

Is the platform free to use?

Yes, our platform is completely free for all users. There are no charges for sharing your own links or using links shared by the community.

How do I know if a referral link is safe?

Safety is our priority. While we do not display a public history of every user's shares, we actively moderate the platform. We review reported links daily and provide a community-based rating system to ensure only legitimate deals remain active.

Why choose ListReferrals?

We provide an equal opportunity for all referral links. Unlike other platforms that use a 'first-come, first-served' model—allowing one user to dominate the top spot forever—we use a rotation system. This ensures every member of our community has a fair and equal chance to be seen and rewarded.

How does the rotation referral work?

To give everyone an equal chance, our platform randomly rotates the referral posts for each brand. Every time a user refreshes a brand page, the order of the posts changes automatically so that no single link stays at the top forever.

Why do referral posts only last 30 days?

Referral links aren't guaranteed to last forever — brands change or retire them from time to time, and an old link that's gone stale doesn't help anyone. The 30-day limit exists as a built-in check-in point: it gives posters a regular reason to confirm their link still works before it reaches a new person. That way, both sides of the referral actually get their bonus — the new signup isn't stuck with a dead link, and the poster doesn't miss out on a reward because their link quietly stopped working. When you repost, we'll ask you to confirm your link and details are still accurate before it goes live again.

What happens if I don't repost before my listing expires?

Your post is automatically hidden from the community feed once it passes 30 days without renewal, though it's still sitting in your dashboard under 'Expired' so you can reactivate it anytime — nothing is deleted. We'll also email you a reminder before your post expires, and again once it has, so it's easy to catch before anyone misses out.

Is ListReferrals responsible for offers that are incorrect or have changed?

No. ListReferrals is just a platform that lets community members share their own referral links — we don't create, set, or control any brand's offer. Bonus amounts and terms are decided entirely by the brand and can change at any time, so it's the poster's responsibility to keep their own post accurate. This is also part of why every post needs to be reconfirmed every 30 days rather than staying live indefinitely — if you spot an offer that looks outdated or wrong, please use the Report button so we can review it.

What if a brand rejects my bonus or won't honor a referral link?

That's between you and the brand directly — ListReferrals isn't a party to your referral relationship with any brand, and we can't guarantee a brand will honor a specific link or payout. Many referral programs also have their own rules about how a link can be shared, so it's worth checking the brand's own terms if a bonus doesn't come through as expected.

What are 'Appreciation Flowers'?

Flowers are virtual tokens of gratitude. When someone successfully uses your link, they can send you a flower to say thanks. It is good practice to send a flower so that the referral poster knows their link worked and was used, helping them know what to expect regarding their bonus.

How do I share my own referral?

First, Sign Up for an account and pick your unique @IDName. Once you're logged in, click the '+ Share Referral' button in the header to add your link to any brand we support.

Why was my referral link rejected as a duplicate?

Each referral link can only be posted once, platform-wide, per brand — even if it's your own link and someone else already shared it first, or you're trying to post it again under a different title. This keeps the directory clean and stops the same link from being spammed across multiple posts.

How do I report a broken or scam link?

If a link isn't working or seems fraudulent, click the 'Report' button on the referral post. Our team will verify and remove the post immediately and block users who violate our safety rules.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Account → Security and select 'Delete Account.' Your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the deletion at any time from that same page; after 30 days, your account and referral posts are permanently removed.
