Chase and IHG have refreshed their credit card lineup: three existing cards get new names and benefits, and a new premium card joins them. Some of the changes are clear upgrades, and one of them, the Premier card's status drop, is a step backward. Here is the full picture, based on Chase's announcement and two independent write-ups. Terms apply.

Quick Answer

There are now four IHG One Rewards cards: the no-annual-fee IHG One Rewards card, Premier ($150, up from $99), Business ($200, up from $99), and the new Premier Select ($350). Welcome bonuses range from 125,000 to 200,000 points and all end November 18, 2026. Existing cardholders get a notice in October, and annual fees on existing cards change in 2027.

The Four Cards at a Glance

Figures below are from Chase's announcement. Welcome bonuses require the listed spend within the first 3 months.

IHG One Rewards Premier$150 (was $99)180,000 points after $3,000Gold50,000 points

IHG One Rewards Premier Select (new)$350 (new card)200,000 points after $5,000Platinum60,000 points

IHG One Rewards (No Annual Fee)

The card formerly called Traveler keeps its $0 fee and adds 5 Elite Night Credits a year. Earning goes up to 17X at IHG hotels, 3X on dining, gas, and groceries, and 2X everywhere else. The fourth night free on award stays now depends on $5,000 of annual spend on the card. Reports differ on exactly when that requirement begins, so check your terms. The Points Guy also reports that elevated rates on utilities and streaming end after December 31, 2026.

IHG One Rewards Premier

This is the card with the most mixed changes. On the plus side, the anniversary free night cap rises from 40,000 to 50,000 points, and there are new credits: $100 a year in IHG food and beverage rewards and a $100 airline statement credit. On the minus side, the annual fee goes from $99 to $150, the top IHG earning rate drops from 26X to 24X, and automatic status falls from Platinum to Gold. Existing cardholders keep Platinum through December 31, 2027, and Upgraded Points reports that $15,000 of annual spend earns it back. Earning elsewhere is 5X on flights, car rentals, dining, gas, and groceries, and 3X on everything else.

IHG One Rewards Business

The business card comes out ahead on benefits. It keeps automatic Platinum status, raises the free night cap to 50,000 points, and adds $100 in food and beverage rewards, a $100 airline credit, and up to $100 in Expensify credits. The fee rises from $99 to $200, and reports say the United TravelBank Cash benefit ends after December 31, 2026.

IHG One Rewards Premier Select (New)

The new top-tier card charges $350 a year and comes with automatic Platinum status, a 60,000-point anniversary free night cap, and 20 Elite Night Credits a year. Chase lists up to $300 a year in food and beverage rewards, a $200 airline credit, and up to $50 in United TravelBank Cash. Earning is up to 28X at IHG hotels, 6X on dining and travel, and 3X on other purchases. Chase positions it for frequent IHG guests.

What Changes for Existing Cardholders

  • A notice arrives in October. Chase says existing members will be told about the new benefits.
  • Annual fees are adjusted in 2027. That is the timing Chase and both other sources give.
  • Premier keeps Platinum for now. Existing Premier cardholders keep Platinum through December 31, 2027.
  • Business loses United TravelBank Cash. Two sources report this benefit ending after December 31, 2026.

Still Unclear

A few details aren't consistent across sources, and we'd rather say so than guess. The sources don't clearly say what annual fee a new applicant pays today, only that existing cardholders' fees change in 2027, so check the fee on the application. They also differ on when the $5,000 fourth-night requirement starts on the no-fee card. Confirm both on Chase's official card pages before you apply.

Yes. It goes from $99 to $150, and annual fees for existing cardholders are adjusted in 2027.

Final Thoughts

Whether the refresh helps you depends on which card you hold and whether you will actually use the new credits. The no-fee and business cards mostly gain ground, while Premier trades a higher fee and lower status for new credits. Terms apply, and card details can change, so confirm everything with Chase before you apply.
